Founded in 1985 by Pascal Lacotte, a trained jeweler who worked for Alain Mikli, IDC Lunettes quickly established itself as one of the most audacious French signatures in eyewear design. Sculptural pieces, acetate-metal material play, bold graphic shapes: IDC disrupted the codes of the 80s and 90s with artisanal savoir-faire inherited from couture eyewear designers. The house collaborated with cult creators like Jean-François Rey and Marithé + François Girbaud, and dressed icons such as Cindy Crawford and Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Today, IDC is one of the most sought-after brands in vintage eyewear.
