💸 Financial icon and radical design
The Black Monday model is part of the ultra-cult Talking Glasses series launched by Alpina in the late 1980s. Here, the deep black frame is paired with a dark green Spectra Vision visor, adorned with a screen-printed motif representing a one-dollar bill — a direct nod to the stock market crash of Monday, October 19, 1987. A piece that is at once artistic, political and fashionable.
